mounted on copper support, circular-shaped and representing the "Doves of Pliny", framed with gilt-bronze frame and written on the reverse of the plaque "Giacomo Raffaelli Roma 1793". The mosaic with the motif of the "Doves of Pliny ", dated 1793 , whose original colours were changed and transformed into a dove-gray spectrum. Most likely it was Giacomo Raffaelli who came from a family of manufacturers of vitreous enamels suppliers for the Reverend Vatican factory, to realize the opportunity to spin the glass paste into thin sticks less than a millimeter. Interesting that the intervention of variation on the basic theme brings Raffaelli to sign the mosaic. Bibliography: I Mosaici Minuti Romani, D. Petochi, M. Alfieri, M. G.
