"Salome with the head of the Baptist", oil on canvas, framed in gilded and worked wood.
The painting turns out to be a replica of the same size of Reni's painting kept at the Galleria Corsini in Rome (Inventory 191) and dated around 1638-1639.
Upon the examination of Wood's lamp, the painting presents some repainting's and restorations in the area of the left sleeve of the woman and on the forehead of John the Baptist.
The painting is relined and on the back has a not legible stamp in wax., 134x97 cm.
